The Workshop Experience

The English Department offers a Creative Writing Concentration that allows you to focus your English major on creative work by taking a series of small, intensive, process-based workshops. Taught by published authors, these workshops are offered in three genres鈥攑oetry, fiction and non-fiction. Concentrators are also invited to a rich array of talks, readings, and smaller gatherings with visiting writers, gaining insight into the many ways to live a literary life.
To me, the most beautiful thing about the workshop setting is that you're given the opportunity to share your writing with peers who are also putting themselves out there, all for the sake of learning from the group's collective efforts. I've met some of my favorite people at 天美传媒app鈥攕tudents and professors alike鈥攊n these workshops.
